John Reitz

John Reitz has been an improv student since 2003 and a company member with DSI Comedy since 2005. An English and Drama major, John just finished directing CHiPs, the premier improv and sketch comedy troupe at UNC CHAPEL HILL. He now serves on its Artistic Committee. John has been on multiple HAROLD teams and previously performed with long time friends in the group PAPA FIBONACCI. Currently, he’s also a member of the Party Team 4DDI (Four Dudes Doing Improv). John has also been featured at the DIRTY SOUTH IMPROV FESTIVAL (2006-2009), the DEL CLOSE MARATHON (2006-2009), and COMEDYSPORTZ NORTH CAROLINA, RICHMOND and BUFFALO.

An advocate for high school improv, John has spent time volunteering at Chapel Hill, East Chapel Hill and Jordan High Schools. He has studied under Zach Ward, Corey Brown, Ryan Locante, Scott Jennings, and workshopped with Charna Halpern, Ross Bryant, Asaf Ronen, Joe Bill, Mark Sutton, and TJ Jagodowski.
