Mister Diplomat features Award-winning Special Guests, The Never

21 11 2008

Hey Internet, Do you have friends? Because we do.

MISTER DIPLOMAT just goes nuts over how many friends we seem to have. It’s crazy. Like, so crazy. You wouldn’t believe how big our Evite lists are. But seriously, we’ve got friends in the audience and crazy amounts of friends on stage. Like, so crazy. Last month we had our old friends The Never over to the theater and they brought an award they won for Best of the Triangle.

We have Award-winning friends! Support them.

We also have super fans. I know, right. Crazy. Our fans come and pack the house and wear t-shirts and go nuts. We’re so lucky, Internet. Maybe this post is premature… But let’s be honest, so are some very funny Diplomat punchlines. HEYO! Maybe this post is premature, but we are really thankful for each other, the company at DSI, our Special Guests each week, and the people around us.

Like this guy.

My Favorite Banana Breakup promo

19 11 2008

Kit FitzSimons (one half of the comedy duo Banana Breakup) has been the Technical Director during the entire Reconstruction of MISTER DIPLOMAT. He rocks the intros, the blackouts and the google image search like it was his job. Well, because it is.

Anyway, I just wanted to bump an old promo and let people know that Banana Breakup, featuring MrD Technical Director Kit FitzSimons, would be defending the DSI CageMatch title against Honkey Kong (another North Carolina comedy duo) on Saturday December 13th. Be there.

MrD hijacks Philadelphia

13 11 2008

For the past 3 years DSI has been represented at the Philadelphia Improv Festival and 2008 looks to be no different. MISTER DIPLOMAT has been scheduled to headline the entire weekend.

We are welcoming guest Rene Duquesnoy on loan from Beatbox (DSI Chicago) and former Diplomat Corey Brown on loan from Whorenado (UCB Theatre). Apparently PHIF confirmed a radio personality to deliver monologues for our show. Awesome.

Oh, Btw- MrD left the blog for a month, and we’d like to apologize to our online fans, but we’re back. Luckily, since we’ve been gone a couple posts have kept the internet reading. Diplomat Zach Ward still wants to apologize for one of those posts, the Breyers Lickable Gymnasts, but only after it stops being so damned popular.
