Kit FitzSimons (one half of the comedy duo Banana Breakup) has been the Technical Director during the entire Reconstruction of MISTER DIPLOMAT. He rocks the intros, the blackouts and the google image search like it was his job. Well, because it is.
Anyway, I just wanted to bump an old promo and let people know that Banana Breakup, featuring MrD Technical Director Kit FitzSimons, would be defending the DSI CageMatch title against Honkey Kong (another North Carolina comedy duo) on Saturday December 13th. Be there.
I blame this on the Norse god Loki. Late last night, Nintendo announced the third iteration of its mega-successful DS, tentatively named the DSi. The DSi features two cameras and advanced music playback capabilities.
Needless to say, Dirty South Improv company members and patrons alike have been using the acronym DSI for years. The lower case ‘i’ really stings, Nintendo.
There is a high dork to non-dork ratio at the DSI Comedy Theater, so this move by Nintendo is likely to sow seeds of confusion. Here’s hoping for a trademark.
